About me

I have been self-employed since 2011 and am a management consultant, coach, speaker, moderator and podcaster.

Meanwhile, my topics revolve mainly around personal development, professional consulting and organization/time management.

Since the beginning of my self-employment, it has been important to me to focus on specific topics, not on a target group. Thus, I have already worked with clerks, secretaries and assistants and with executives (up to a management responsibility of 400 employees) and also with very young people, with pupils and students.

By working with such different people, be it in terms of their tasks, character traits or cultures (more information below under “International”), I learn more and more and can pass this experience on to my clients.

In July 2019, I had the idea to make “Liebe was du tust” (in English: “Love what you do”) more than the event I had planned for November. Out of this came my “Liebe was du tust” podcast, which usually comes out bi-weekly.

In English, I’ve started it in January 2020 as the “Love what you do” podcast …

… for my English-speaking customers irregularly – and of course also for my new listeners.

LOVE what you do

I have always been very rational, have also studied business (until 2006) and am therefore a business graduate. At various locations of my old university (FOM), I also lectured a total of 1,200 hours until February 2018 (including in the subjects of project management, organizational development and various soft skill subjects, e.g. “communication, presentation, moderation”).

Only since I became self-employed and trained as a coach, I have also discovered my emotional side more, also that I am highly sensitive (HSP).

These two sides, the economic, logical and efficient and the empathic, sensitive, compassionate, are now a combination that I appreciate very much in my work and that help me to interact especially well with my clients.

Economist and Coach

Private life:

My hometown is Willich-Anrath and I also came back here after a short time in Cologne.

My friends and family are very important to me.

In my free time, I like to go for walks with my dog and enjoy the peace and nature of the Lower Rhine.

I am also very passionate about Taiko (Japanese drumming): this is also where the theme “Feel your inner beat” came from. In the beginning, it was important to me to play particularly well and correctly.

Then I had an accident in 2018 and at first I could no longer drum (after three quarters of a year of forced rest, I was only allowed to start with ten minutes of drumming). Since then I just drum with enthusiasm – no matter if right or wrong 😉 .

For balance I also do yoga, for example Aerial Yin Yoga and meditate, mostly with “The Work” of Byron Katie.

International

Since the first time I was in the US, in Hawaii, I like to travel: preferably four or five weeks to one place. I like to develop a kind of routine there and get to know locals and learn more about the rhythm of life there. My favorite places are Honolulu, Sydney (here I like Newtown and Manly best) and Miami.

I also really like internationality when it comes to my work, and I don’t just work in German, but also in English – and sometimes with my hands and feet and poorly pronounced chunks of Spanish I’ve found on the Internet.

In the summer of 2019, I came up with the idea of trying to figure out how many nationalities I have worked with in consultations and with whom I have done coachings all together. In the meantime I have reached 44 and I am always happy to learn a little bit about country, culture, etc.
If your nationality is not listed here and you would like to work with me, please let me know – I will think of something special for you.
